In October I traveled to Argentina to train a team from Agape church to go to Cuba. I taught an intensive Short Term Trip course (in Spanish), and learned a bit about their culture. The people there were warm and welcoming and receptive to my teachings. The Argentinean team spent two weeks in Cuba teaching adults and children on inner healing. The Argentineans were impacted greatly by their trip and continue to pray for and make phone calls to Cuba to support their new Cuban friends.

CCC Team to Costa Rica
A team from Countryside Christian Center came to Costa Rica in November. We traveled to Talamanka to work with Kenneth and Elaine Orosco in two remote areas, Bambu and Shuabb. In both locations the team did children’s ministry, a large community dinner event, and one team member gave haircuts. We all survived the hike into the mountains to Shuabb where we stayed for a few days. People hiked miles to get to our dinner event, several teenage boys gave their lives to Christ. The team also helped the church in Shuabb financially so they could build bathrooms. Elaine and Kenneth were encouraged by our presence and very glad we came.
Blue Fields, Nicaragua
Thanks to financial help from Ralph Feith from Global Family Fellowship in Florida, I’ve started a new feeding center in Blue Fields, Nicaragua. Blue Fields is on the East coast of Nicaragua, and is only reachable by plane or half a day of driving and half a day of boat ride. So far I’ve been fortunate and been able to take the plane for my visits. Brad and Ruth Brown are living part time in Blue Fields and are making the feeding center a reality for the community of Pancasan. The mothers have a weekly schedule and volunteer to cook for 60 to 100 kids twice a week. Zulema and her sister Guadalupe are the overseeing the feeding center and making sure the kids get a Bible lesson and a balanced meal.
New Missionaries
Marta Mora from Costa Rica (above left) and Annesha Beckford (right) from Jamaica both approached me in the spring of last year, with an earnest desire to serve God full time in missions. The Spiritual battle to get them into training began almost immediately, and continued through out the year. Through the grace of God and pure determination on their parts, they both completed their Discipleship Training Program with Youth with a Mission in December. Annesha is now serving full time as a missionary here in Costa Rica, she is also working on raising funds so that she can attend the University of the Nations. Marta is leaving the first of February to serve with YWAM in Panama. She will be teaching the indigenes (both adults and children) in the Panama mountains to read and write in Spanish. These amazing women are trying to raise $250 each month. If you can give, please send the funds to me via MV with a note and I will get it to them.
El Salvador
I made my first trip to El Salvador! It was a quick trip, but well worth the effort. I made contact with an organization called Mies, an entirely Salvadorian ministry. They are helping to train up, raise support, and send missionaries out of El Salvador. While I was there, they were sending Josue Angel to Niger, Africa. I was able to help him with funds for his plane ticket. And Anna Elsy was getting ready to go to India. They are also helping Salvadorians do missions work in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. The director of Mies arranged several pastors meetings so that I could get to know the needs of the pastors in El Salvador, both in the capital area and also the more difficult to reach countryside. I am praying about how to further help this ministry and the pastors there in El Salvador.
Education for Latin America
I’m working with MV on locating the need for and overseeing school building projects within Latin America. Right now I’m working on a school in El Salvador, one in Blue Fields, Nicaragua, and the other in Managua, Nicaragua. I will be traveling to Chile next month for an investigatory trip.
Thank You for your Prayers
And please continue to pray, I noticed that in my rough draft, at the end of each paragraph, I asked for prayer. In all of these projects, we need prayer for wisdom, guidance, direction and support.
Please Send an Email
I’m putting together an E-mail list so that those of you who use the internet can hear from me more frequently. I am also setting up a web site with photos of me and my ministry. Please send me an E-mail specifically stating that you would like to be on the E-mail/Web list. I am hoping to cut back on the number of letters I send out via snail mail. (300 letters is a lot!)
