Christian School - Concon Chile
Pastor Jorge from Concon, Chile sent me photos of the new Christian School now under construction.  In my fall newsletter I mentioned that I went to Chile to investigate the possibility of helping Jorge and his wife Oriana with funds to build a new school building on a piece of property they spent 3 years trying to purchase.  Due to their faithfulness and prayers, God has supplied the funds for the land and the first phase of the construction project.  Please pray as they are almost done with the first phase and are now praying for God to supply a means to finish the building and start the school year in February 07 in their new building.

Randall & Rachel Beita
They are officially onboard with Missionary Ventures Latin America as Costa Rican Sending Directors. Their first team of Costa Ricans into Nicaragua is scheduled for Easter Week 2007.  We have our first team meeting this week to get the team members oriented and focused on raising funds for their trip.
Please pray for the Beitas as they are going to the states for the month of December to try and raise a financial support base and share their missions vision with churches in Rachel’s home town.

Guatemalans on a Short Term Trip
Our first Guatemalan short term trip went into the interior of Guatemala to do construction, Vacation Bible School, evangelism, skits and testimonies.  Rene Gonzalez, the MV Latin America Sending Director in Guatemala took a team of 15 youth from Iglesia Amigos Guatemala City into the interior of Guatemala.  They traveled to various towns doing skits, evangelism and testimonies.  They organized and held a Vacation Bible School for over 60 children at their sister church, Iglesia Amigos in Huehuetenango.  They also went to El Eden and helped with construction.
This is the first time for the church Iglesia Amigos to do any type of missions trip.  And the first time for our Field Reps, the Noriegas to receive a Guatemalan team.  Everyone was thrilled with the hard work of the team members and the results of their ministry.
Panama
I’m excited to say that we will soon be running teams of Panamanians on missions trips too!  On my trip to Panama I met with the pastor and missions director of Crossroads Bible Church.  They are interested in sending their very mixed culture of youth on a short term trip next summer.  Please pray as we are currently putting together dates and location for their trip.
For those interested,
There’s new photos on the Pet’s page too...

Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you so much for reading my Web page Update!  Your interest, prayers and support mean a great deal to me, and certainly, none of this would be happening with out you.
        The Rahab Center
The last few months I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with women who are making a choice to leave Prostitution and support themselves and their families in a healthier way.  They not only need training for a new job, but they also need help recuperating emotionally and spiritually from the trauma in their lives.  I’ve been meeting with the women weekly, to take them through the Christian book “Love is a Choice” and we have small groups afterwards to give them a chance to share.  This is the first time The Rahab Center has tried something like this, and the staff is thrilled at the results in emotional growth and the better understanding the women have of their situation.  Please Pray for the 15 women I am working with, Christmas is a very difficult time for them, and they need strength and wisdom to get through the holidays.
