MV Latin America
This next week, I will be traveling to Panama on an investigatory trip.  The purpose is to meet with Panamanians who are interested in sending teams into other countries.  I’m excited to see this Latin American Sending Office continue to grow.

Rene Gonzales is leading a team from Guatemala into Nicaragua next month, and has another team lined up to go to Honduras the first part of next year.

Randal and Rachel Beita in Costa Rica are coming on board with MV as field coordinators to receive teams from the MV USA office here in Costa Rica.  Also they will be Directors for Sending Missions with MV Latin America.   Their first team of Costa Ricans will be going into Nicaragua in April.

Trip to Concon, Chile

I went to Chile on an investigatory trip for a Christian School building project.  I met Pastor Jorge & Ariana who have built a small school in Concon and are looking to build a larger building on a new piece of property.  I truly enjoyed my time with them, was amazed at their efforts and ingenuity in what they’ve accomplished on their own.  Praise God, Missionary Ventures is now facilitating funds to them to assist them.

Trip to the USA

I had planned to go to California to spend some time with my family when I received the news that my Grandmother passed away.  I changed flights and went to Las Cruces, New Mexico to attend my grandmother’s memorial service.  I can joyfully tell you that she was a Christian and is now in Heaven with the Father.  Due to the change in plans I was able to spend time with relatives.  I was able to visit with my Aunt and her two little boys, and with my ‘other’ grandmother.  And I was able to visit with my sister and her two boys.  God really blessed me with a wonderful time while I was home.

Trip to Florida

I went to Florida, as previously planned, but a little behind schedule.  I was able to visit churches, friends and ministry supporters while I was there.  I really felt impressed by God to be raising funds for my Latin friends who have gone on the field this year.  I know God called them, yet they are on the field mostly due to my encouragement and teachings, and I feel a bit responsible for them.  I bought coffee in Costa Rica, made calendars with photos of the ministry, and painted little boxes with flowers in an effort to raise funds for my missionary friends.  I am happy to report $5,000 was raised.  God is totally awesome and so are those of you who gave!  Paul & Sofia in Mexico, Marta in Panama, Annesha in Costa Rica and Randal & Rachel also in Costa Rica, each received a full $1,000.  They were thrilled, each one, and I could see, in Annesha especially, that their faith in God’s calling to missions was strengthened.

New Adventure?

I am seriously praying about attending a University of Natural Medicine.  My interest and inability to help medically was acute while I was in Nicaragua, especially with the Re-nutrition Center.  Then my own health failed 5 years ago, and the Lord lead me to Natural healing methods, mostly nutrition and whole foods.  Seeing the results in educating myself through reading books, and the change in my own health, has lead me to counseling others in the same manner.  But I feel very restricted in what I can do, I do not have any ‘real’ medical education.  I am feeling very impressed that I need to move in the direction of University level education in this area.  The Latin Countries I have worked in require copies of diplomas and licenses prior to allowing any kind of medical practice or education to their people.  Please join me in prayer about this new dimension to my missions calling.

Thank you so much for your interest in this ministry and me personally, without your prayers and support, none of this would be happening!
