Evangelio Completo

Rev C and I taught General Discipleship I in Managua initiating the start of a new pastoral Christian Training Center (CTC) for the Evangelio Completo denomination of churches in Nicaragua.  We had about 30 students in attendance, including the leadership of Evangelio Completo.  We met with the leadership team, they were excited to have a training center for their pastors.  They have over 50 churches in their denomination, most of their pastors have not received any Biblical training.  Jorge Ibarra, the president of Evangelio Completo, is enthusiastic to to start training new pastors with the CTC program, and making the teachings available for already established 50+ pastors.  We wrapped up with a closing ceremony which included turning the training center over to Evangelio Completo, and praying for them as new CTC leadership. I will continue to work with Alfredo Martinez, the CTC director, via email to help them get started with their new pastoral training center over the next few months.

Rev C and I also taught classes at Cathedral Christiana, with pastor Vladimir Monge.  He started teaching the training center materials late last year to his congregation, starting with General Discipleship I.  As we taught, we were able help both Pastor Vladimir and the students to have a better understanding of how the CTC’s function.  I watched as everyone’s enthusiasm increased, and they established a CTC director, with whom I will continue to work with as they proceed with their CTC program.  Pastor Vladimir’s end goal is to be training up pastors to send into the interior of Nicaragua.

Personally, I love going to Nicaragua to see my dear Nicaraguan friends, those who helped me in ministry when I lived there.  I was thrilled to have pastors that I worked with, even as far back as 1996, sitting in the class learning.  I’m grateful to have something as amazing and life changing as the CTC program to offer them.  I know the need for pastoral education from years of attending churches in Nicaragua and I am amazed that the Lord has opened this door for us to work with an entire denomination of churches.  Please keep both of these CTC’s in your prayers as they are taking complete financial and and administrative responsibility.  We are bringing life changing truth and understanding of the the Word to those that are called and have the “beautiful feet that bring the good news” to those around them.  Again, please pray, because we have a enemy that would love to keep Nicaragua in spiritual darkness.

Marta Mora from Panama

Marta Mora is my Costa Rican friend who is serving as a missionary in Panama.  She works with churches in rural areas in Panama, and also walks through the jungle to reach Panamanian tribal groups.  Rev C and I met Marta in Nicaragua in January.  She traveled by bus to Nicaragua to spend the week with us.  She passed the Gen. Disc. I course and is interested in continuing her own education with the CTC.  She also sees a great need in Panama for Bible training and would like to help her Pastor friends with a CTC.  Rev C took an interest in Marta and her ministry.  He has asked that I visit Marta in Panama this year, as she has a group of 30 pastors interested in receiving Bible classes about 3 hours outside of Panama City.  Please pray for both Marta and I as we plan a trip to investigate the possibility of a new CTC in Panama.

Rev C just received full accreditation for the CTC’s world wide with the Associate of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries.  This is a huge answer to prayer as accreditation means a great deal to our graduates.   And Rev C is working on putting the CTC program online to be available world wide to those that have internet access.  He is trying to get the English version online this year.  I will be helping Rev C by going through classes and creating mini-quiz questions as he divides 2 years worth of university level classes into sections of about 12 pages each.  It’s exciting!  It’s time consuming!   Please

pray for us!

Personal / Family

Thank you for praying for me and for my family.  We have been carried by God’s grace these last 6 months.  I am more confident that all of us will survive, but it’s still, day by day, we got through the holidays, this month is Dylan’s birthday.  Please keep praying for us, my sister Wendy, husband Paul and son, Ryder and my parents, Tom and Elaine.  Again thank you for continuing to pray.

I am currently not working, I am living by faith, to continue in the mission’s ministry and be available for my family.  I’m no longer wondering why I’m in New Mexico, I’m grateful that I’m here.  The Lord has provided a meaningful and effective ministry for me to participate in while I’m close to my family.  Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
